Woody biomass: The trees and woody plants, including limbs, tops, needles, leaves, and other woody parts, grown in a forest, woodland, or rangeland environment, that are by-products of forest management.
Woody biomass utilization: The harvest, sale, offer, trade, or utilization of woody biomass to produce bioenergy and the full range of biobased products including lumber, composites, paper and pulp, furniture, housing components, round wood, ethanol and other liquids, chemicals, and energy feedstocks.
The Idaho Smallwood Partners website is hosted by the Woody Biomass Utilization Partnership (WBUP). We hope that you will be able to use this website as a tool for looking for finding or learning more about woody biomass.
The WBUP is a partnership of four southwestern Idaho counties: Adams, Boise, Gem and Valley. Geographically, we are located south of the Salmon River and on the Idaho side of the Snake River.
We look forward to you taking advantage of our site whether you are looking to start a biomass business or need biomass to fuel your current business. If you do not find what you need, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Thank you for coming to our site. We hope that it is of use to you.
